Caffein: It`s live but it`s not, isn`t it?

Would love to hear from Cutts on when it is live considering it is almost March now.”

I’m pretty sure it’s live now. There is no need for Google to publish a confirmation.”

It’s been live for awhile. The ‘inside the hood’ changes that is.

If you’ve been monitoring multiple website rankings, articles, and other related items you’ll see a big difference since last summer. Especially with the much emphasized ‘real time’ search feature. A popular and relevant article can gain high organic rankings #SERP’s# for key search terms in a matter of hours. Also, there’s the ‘real time’ Twitter feeds which are part of Caffeine.

The ‘outside the hood’ changes are being introduced slowly. Google will occasionally flash them on different servers to get people acquainted and then turn it off.

So in summary: Google Caffeine is live but the ‘outside the hood’ format is still being introduced so they don’t freak people out. It’s a smart business approach.

Micheal Martinez is right. Don’t expect any huge announcement from Google. Their algorithms continue to evolve all the time. Matt Cutts made what amounts to a big announcement back in the fall.”

No it’s not even close to being live yet. May be by end of month. Until your pagerank props across all datacenters it will not be live. Based on cache logs of my pages, it looks like there 3-4 days away. http://www.digpagerank.com/

„well there is a definite and detectable difference between Caffeined results and regular google results. also the last Synonym update from google (part of LSI) has started showing some dramatic changes like ranking the word GARMENT for the search term clothes. And it is also considering the URL of the page when doing so. All seo’s are pretty confirmed that Google switching Caffeine Off and On regularly. Although the SERPS are now showing regular results continuously. And remember its not just an infrastructure change its something more than that for sure :)

:)

be sure….. & have a nice sunny day!!!
